What is Facebook and how to use it?
I. Basic information
What is Facebook?
Facebook is a social network that allows you to communicate and share information with others (colleagues, friends, relatives, etc.). The idea of such a platform came to Mark Zuckerberg during his study at Harvard University. Since 2006 the network has expanded and now unites users from the age of 13 having an email address. Facebook today is the largest social network with over 1 billion users worldwide.
Why do we need Facebook?
Surely you have wondered why we need Facebook. There are many means of communication such as e-mail, instant messaging, and so on. What makes Facebook so unique is the way to connect and exchange information with people you care about.
Currently a Facebook account is a very common thing that reflects your presence on the Internet. The network is so popular today that it is integrated in many sites, so thanks to your Facebook account you can log in on the Internet. Currently some sites suggest that you should not create a new login and password but use your Facebook account to log in (for example, Spotify, the site for listening to music online).
II. Definition of editorial policy
Before you create a Facebook account, it would be advisable to determine:
1. For whom is it intended?
For communication in the professional environment or for personal communication? You can create two profiles:
- a personal profile
- a professional profile (to which you can add a fan page1)
2. What kind of content is planned?
3. How often would you like to supplement your profile?
