Active Learning Pedagogy

Active Learning Pedagogy - schools thrive - students blossom

Often we have the impression that Active Learning Schools are few in number and they are seen as experimental, marginal schools.

In fact, this is not the case. These schools are inspired by pedagogical models that emphasize student-driven learning, with the focus on the learning; some of the inspirations have roots in pedagogical models implemented over a century ago. These schools continue to develop, to grow, to adapt, and to innovate.

Through their continuous and important work, these schools foster relevant and effective learning and thinking in a number of school settings.

We would like to share with you an interview that took place in one of Geneva’s active-learning schools, where there is compelling evidence that the children benefit immensely in their acquisition of skills and knowledge for the here and now and for their future.
